Recorded July 12, 2025
This session features families of SKDEAS children ages 7-17 from around the world. Each speaker brings unique real-life insight into different education paths--from public schools and virtual classes to homeschooling, hybrid, and ABA-based programs.

We also walk through the IEP process--what it is, how to request one, and what you should have in it.
Newly (or Not-So-Newly) Diagnosed - What I Wish I Would Have Known
Held April 12, 2025
Fellow SKDEAS parents gather to share what they wish they had known when their child was first diagnosed. Whether your child is newly diagnosed or you are years into your SKDEAS journey and would like to learn more, this is an opportunity to hear real stories, gain practical advice, and find reassurance in a community that truly understands your experiences.
While this session was not recorded in an effort to keep panelists and attendees comfortable while sharing the many complicated thoughts and feelings surrounding diagnosis, newly diagnosed families are always encouraged to connect with us directly at welcome@skdeas.org for peer support and next steps in your SKDEAS journey.
